With the activities carried out under the TechAnkara brand, the entrepreneurship culture in Ankara is promoted at the national and international level, and mentorship and investor access is provided to hundreds of startups through events such as the TechAnkara Venture Capital Support Program, Project Market and Accelerator Program.
The Ankara Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Report analyzed the city's entrepreneurship dynamics from a data-driven perspective and revealed the strengths and areas of the ecosystem that are open to development.
In addition, the infrastructure work of the girişimci.ankaraka.org.tr portal has been completed, and in the near future, all entrepreneurship activities, support programs, events and investor networks in Ankara will be announced on a single digital platform.
Strengths and Areas for Development
While the report and panel findings reveal that Ankara's ecosystem is strong in terms of public supports and university-technopark infrastructure; It has been shown that medium and large-scale investment tours are limited and foreign investor interest has decreased recently. In the first half of 2025, only one foreign investor participated in the initiatives.
These data show that Ankara needs to take steps in the areas of increasing its capacity to attract investment, strengthening financial mechanisms for medium-sized tours and increasing international visibility. Additionally, supporting women's entrepreneurship and creating success stories on a global scale are among the priority goals.
As Ankara Development Agency, our aim is; To build a strong bridge between entrepreneurship and investment, to create a sustainable cooperation model in which the public, private sector, academia and investors act together, and to make Ankara the innovation-producing and investment-attracting capital of Turkey.
