According to the data presented at the event, Ankara is currently at the heart of Türkiye’s R&D and entrepreneurship ecosystem, with 21 universities, 14 technoparks, 18 Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs), 10 TEKMERs, and more than 20 accelerator programs. Between 2018 and 2025, more than 3,000 Ankara-based startups raised a total of USD 331 million in investment. In 2025 alone, USD 41 million was invested across 59 investment deals, demonstrating that Ankara has developed a strong entrepreneurial base not only in the defense industry but also in sectors such as health technologies, biotechnology, manufacturing technologies, and digital gaming.
The panel session held as part of the event was moderated by Müge Bezgin, Co-Founder of Start-up Centrium. The panel featured İmran Gürakan, CEO of Ankara TEKMER; Hande Enes, Technology Investor; and Ahmet Arvas, Coordinator of the Investment Support Office at the Ankara Development Agency.
